Storing your foods for meal prep

Refrigerators and Freezers are our best friends. Unfortunately, without a meal prep fridge, it is almost impossible because eating will quickly break down. Aside from that, don’t forget to check out the meal prep bag that you can buy online.

The best way to make sure every meal stays fresh is to distribute lunch and dinner according to the portion once eaten in a separate food box that is left to the office. The more often it is opened and opened, the food is more easily damaged. So it’s better packed, then closed, and opened just to be warmed and then eaten.

For breakfast, I usually make it fresh in the morning. Also for the cut fruit, so in the morning I will cut the fruit to be brought that day, then the rest I return to the refrigerator. This will help keep the fruit from getting soft and damaged quickly.

For dry food (all pan-grill or baked in the oven), food can last up to 6 days in a normal refrigerator, so you don’t need to put it in the freezer. The tip is, after cooking, let the food cool before it is put into the lunch box and closed. Foods that are closed while still hot will produce moisture. This water vapor will make the food moist in the refrigerator.

Well for wet and soupy foods like curry, soy sauce chicken, or rendang using coconut milk, I usually store it in the freezer. Food stored in the freezer can last up to 5 weeks, you know! It will remain fresh and tasty as long as the packaging is not opened or not removed from the freezer until it is eaten.
